Hourly rates and full-duration estimates

The $120, $150, $230, and $240 figures are rounded display rates for sedan, SUV, S-Class, and Sprinter. They are labels for comparing classes, not a formula you should multiply by three, four, or six. The booking engine prices the full reserved duration, then rounds the estimate. That is why a three-hour SUV shows about $440 rather than $450, and a six-hour sedan shows about $710 rather than $720.

Use the published duration bands when you are sketching a hold: about $360 / $440 / $690 / $710 at three hours, $480 / $580 / $930 / $940 at four hours, and $710 / $870 / $1,390 / $1,410 at six hours. If the itinerary grows or shrinks, ask for a revised complete-duration estimate rather than adding a homemade extra hour to the display rate.

Point-to-point floors are not airport fares

A direct transfer is quoted as point-to-point. The sedan floor is $130 and the SUV floor is $160. Those floors are minimums for a single drop, not a Logan-to-Back Bay fare, not a Cambridge fare, and not a Cape fare. The route, stops and waiting requirements affect the quote. Request the itinerary quote; confirm the complete route price.

Hourly charter is the other product: a vehicle held for a stated window, with a three-hour minimum. It fits uncertain end times, extra stops, or a car that should wait. A Logan arrival with a later office drop can be either booking type. Say which one you want. Confirm which service type the quote covers.

Logan terminals and harbor crossings

Logan International Airport (BOS) uses Terminals A, B, C, and E. Send the airline and flight number so the meeting point can follow the actual terminal. For international arrivals, allow for immigration and customs where applicable. A domestic carry-on at B or C and a checked-bag international arrival are different waits; the quote should say how waiting is billed on the product you chose.

What to confirm on the written quote

Ask what the estimate includes and what it leaves out. Tolls on harbor crossings and the Turnpike, garage or venue parking, extra stops, and waiting on a point-to-point job can sit outside the display rate. Cancellation and change windows are stated on the individual quote rather than as a blanket grace period on this page.

Confirm the assigned class, passenger count, and luggage capacity for the vehicle that will be sent. A sedan, SUV, S-Class, and Sprinter answer bags differently. If a child seat, wheelchair, or oversize item is required, put it on the request. Loading the booking form does not reserve the car.

Payment method, receipt format, and any passenger name or cost center belong on the same confirmation. If Logan is involved, include the flight number and terminal when you have them. If the day changes, request an updated complete-duration or point-to-point quote before you treat the first number as current.

Neighborhood curb, bridges, and the calendar

Beacon Hill, the North End, and parts of the Financial District have narrow one-ways and little legal curb. A useful reservation names a staging point or loading zone instead of a map pin on a restricted block. Storrow Drive has low clearances that can rule out taller vehicles; confirm vehicle dimensions and a suitable route before travel.

Class fit and longer New England legs

Count bags before seats. Light travel for one to three people often fits a sedan. Checked luggage, a stroller, or meeting materials can push the same headcount into an SUV. An S-Class is a comfort class with sedan-like capacity, not extra cargo. For a group that should arrive together, ask for the Sprinter or another group vehicle and confirm the assigned passenger and luggage layout on the quote.

Cape Cod, Providence, Newport, and other New England legs use the same two booking types: a point-to-point quote for a single drop, or hourly if the car waits or returns. A summer Friday over the canal bridges is a different duration from a Tuesday in March. Include any return journey in the itinerary quote. There is no published Boston-to-New York fare on this page; that trip needs its own quote.
